AREZZO
The city of Arezzo has a thousand-year history. The urban structure of Etruscan origin is enriched through the centuries with the construction of stately buildings, basilicas and churches of great artistic value. In the Basilica of San Francesco one of the masterpieces of Renaissance painting, "The Legend of the True Cross" by Piero della Francesca, is preserved . Piazza Grande hosts the Giostra del Saracino twice a year and the Antiquarian Fair every month.
CASENTINO
The Casentino valley extends north of the city of Arezzo. Here the landscape is dominated by the National Park Casentino, which covers 36,000 hectares. The Sanctuary of La Verna, the hermitage of Camaldoli and the castle of the Counts Guyidi in Poppi are among the places most loved by tourists from all over the world.
